The Winter Skincare Routine That Changed My Skin!

Protecting my skin has always been a hobby of mine. Not only because I want my skin to look as great as it can for a long as it can, but also because I love the whole ritual. My winter skincare essentials keep my skin looking even, plump, and actually hydrated. If you are looking to spruce up your skincare routine, here are some products to consider!

winter skincare

Hello, it’s me, still using the same cleanser and talking about it again. I have sort of sensitive skin so I have to really watch what I use. About two years ago I started using the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser and I have not used anything since. It removes my makeup, removes the dirt, but doesn’t dry my skin out in the process. I’ve also been making sure to cleanse my face for at least 60 seconds!

I feel like I used to hate toners, am I right? Around July I had a sample of the Youth To The People Kombucha Toner. This does have a 10% AHA which makes it a pretty strong exfoliator as well. I just use a cotton ball and apply it a few times a week. I’ve noticed that my skin has evened out and I’m not dealing with as many blemishes.

Yeah, if you have read my previous skincare post you know what is coming. I just have not found a moisturizer that works better for my skin than the Tatcha Water Cream does. It has never irritated my skin, it does not clog pores, and it has no annoying fragrance to it. Even though it feels light on the skin, it is a staple in my winter skincare routine.

Eye Cream

I’m not going to lie, I sometimes forget to apply eye cream. Not on purpose, just because I’m exhausted and just ready to hit the pillow. The eye cream that I do use is the Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Eye Cream. It feels amazing on the skin, and I can tell a difference in my eye area when I use it and when I do not. The only real complaint I have is that you need a little spoon to get all of the product out of the oddly shaped container.

I’m really behind the times on this, but I finally picked up a scrubbing brush to use. I’ve heard great things about the Vanity Planet one so I picked this one up from Amazon a few weeks ago. I was having some skin issues over the holidays and since I started using it, everything has cleared up. It came with three different heads to use depending on how much you are looking to exfoliate.

This was such a helpful post! I’ve been looking for some new skincare products and will definitely have to check out all the obese you mentioned 💕

Wow…autocorrect can be so annoying sometimes. Sorry, that’s supposed to be “products” not “obese” 🤦‍♀️

It’s great you have a routine that works so well for you! An eye cream is something I really need to add to my routine – i don’t get a lot of sleep with two little boys and it shows some days, haha!

Hope that you are having a great week 🙂

I can only imagine! I don’t have any children, but it sometimes probably looks like I do!

These all sound amazing! I have sensitive skin too and it’s tough to use just any product. I have heard good things about Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser and from sounds of it, I am missing out! Btw, is it also considered as a makeup remover?

It removes my makeup pretty well, but it has a more difficult time with waterproof makeup. It will eventually get it off, but it takes a little more time!
