We are finally heading towards the holidays which means that stores are starting to stock all of the holiday collections for the year. Too Faced is a brand that I for some reason only purchase from during the holidays. It’s probably the packaging, right?! I picked up the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party set, and this is what I seriously think about it!
What You’re Getting
The Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party comes with quite a few things. There are three different palettes that break apart from each other. The largest palette comes with twenty different shades of eyeshadow with quite a few different finishes. The second palette is three different shades of face products including a bronzer, blush, and a highlighter. Lastly, there is a small palette with four glitter shades and two matte shades.
You’re also getting a Deluxe Melted Matte Lipstick in the shade Gingerbread Man, a small size of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and a deluxe sample of the Better Than Sex Mascara.
What’s The Deal?
I think that you’re getting a pretty good deal for all of the items you’re getting. When I picked mine up, there was a sale so I was able to get mine for under $50 bucks! It retails for $58 dollars for the whole set. The Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party also is meant to smell like gingerbread cookies, but to be honest, I don’t think it does. Personally, that has absolutely nothing to do with if I pick up a palette or not!
Majority of the shades in the large eyeshadow palette definitely have shimmer in them. I would say about fifteen of the shades have some sort of shimmer or sparkle to them. If you’re someone who wears primarily mattes, this may not be the best set for you. Some of the shades have more of a kickback than others, but the colors swatch nicely, and they wear on the eye well.
When it comes to the glitter palette, it’s not much to write home about. I don’t think that the glitters make much sense since the set did not come with a glitter glue, and I really think these glitters need that to latch onto. The two mattes in that palette are great though, and I have found myself using them more and more! Same with the face palette. The shades may not be universally flattering for all skin tones, but I do think the shades are nice and pigmented.
Is It Worth It?
At the end of the day, I would say yes. I think the quality of the products are great, and I think they perform and wear well. Something that I really enjoy is that there are not a ton of crazy colors, and I feel like it is more of a wearable than a lot of the sets I have picked up in the past.
Maybe you love to pick up the holiday collections, and that would be worth it for sure. If you’re wanting something that is superb quality with a huge range of different shades and finishes, then maybe not. I would have preferred for the glitter palette to either be more natural mattes, or even an entire highlighter palette. That would have made the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party an even better value to me.
