As you probably already know, I am a foundation addict. I’m pretty much always on the hunt for the best product for my face in terms of foundation. I’ve been testing out the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation for quite some time now, and think it is finally time to talk about. How does it compare to my favorites, and does it live up to the Dior name?
A few years ago, I was practically obsessed with the MAC Studio Face and Body foundation. I eventually quit using it because I simply got bored, and I felt like trying new items. While I was browsing Sephora a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation. As a creature of habit, you can bet that I placed it in my cart and had it shipped over. With all Dior Beauty products that I have tried, the packaging is gorgeous, and very reminiscent of the brand itself. One thing to note is that the bottle seems a lot larger online, but is standard for a foundation bottle, so have no fear! The top is a dropper which makes it really easy to dispense the product, and keeps it clean as well.
What Kind Of Coverage Are We Talking About?
The Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation is a pretty light coverage for something that is supposed to be medium. While I say that in a negative way, it really works amazingly well with the skin. One coat of the foundation on my skin almost has a blurring effect and eliminates those areas that I may not feel so comfortable about. We all know about my love for the Covergirl Healthy Elixir, and this gives me that same kind of coverage. It truly wears like your skin but better! I would also note that the coverage could be thinned out if you wanted, and it can be layered up for a heavier coverage as well.

This does have a matte finish on the skin which kind of scared me at first. I usually don’t have the best luck with the kind of finish. Luckily, it has been working out so well on my skin and looks more natural than I ever expected it to. It wears incredibly well also. I haven’t had to retouch my makeup once when I’ve been wearing this, and it lasts through everything. I just got off a vacation to the Bahamas, and it even through those incredibly hot days too. Did I mention that it is waterproof?
Do You Need It?
is one of the foundations that have up to forty different shades so that it is more inclusive than others on the market. As always, I think that the range could be more expanded, but I’m sadly not in control of that. It works for pretty much almost any skin and is amazing on my weird skin issues as well. For a luxury beauty brand, the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation sits at a pretty good price point. It is $40 and covers sixteen different intensities and a range of undertones.
