5 Ways to turn your day around

Sometimes we have bad days, and that just happens! We are all just human, but there are a few things you can do to turn your day around! These are things that you might already be doing, or things you can easily add into your every day routine!

Take a step back

It is so easy to get completely wrapped up in something that happened during your day. I’ve done it, you’ve done it, and we all will probably do it again. If you’re in a stressful or irritable situation, then try and take a step back.

You’ll be able to see what might actually be bothering you, and what you might be taking a little too personally. It is such an easy way to turn your day around, and it really doesn’t require a ton of extra work.

As a matter of fact, it is actually a great practice to do every day. Removing yourself from any situation that is making you uncomfortable or irritated is a great way to ditch the negativity! I have caught myself doing this quite a bit when it comes to social media!

Girl, just take a nap!

I’m telling you, a nap will seriously turn your day around! While I try not to nap because I like a strong sleep schedule, it is something that can take your stresses away!

If you’re worried about not getting anything done if you take a nap, then set an alarm so that you don’t oversleep! You would be amazed at what a twenty minute nap would do for you!

I’m a big fan of a bath!

When I’m trying to turn my day around, I always take a nice bubble bath. There is something so peaceful about a bath, and it was something I always did when I was little if I was having a bad day.

Find a great book, I recommend anything by Chuck Palahniuk, light a candle, and find a yummy smelling bubble bath to really enhance the experience!

You can even pretend that the water is melting away all of the negativity that you might be experiencing that day!

Sometimes it is best to just face whatever the issue is

If you’re anything like me, then confrontation is really not your vibe. Sometimes what we are dealing with is something that we just need to take head on in order to turn our day around.

Maybe someone is causing you to have a bad day, and it will be a lot easier just to talk it out with that person. It’s too late for us to let anyone decide how our day is going to go other than us, seriously.

If you have something to do that is stressing you out typically it is just better to go ahead and get it done. There have been so many times that I put things off until the last minute and then it straight up ruins my day!

This is going to sound wild, but try cleaning something

When I was younger, everyone always told me to clean if I needed to turn my day around, and I seriously thought they were mocking me. Flash forward to turning 30, and now I 100% agree that cleaning something is a great practice to have.

Not only does it keep your environment clean which is great for your creativity, but it also gets your mind off of whatever is bringing your vibes down.

    I love these ideas! It’s a great idea to step back and look at the big picture. Often times, that’s all we really need to get ourselves moving forward and feeling better. On the cleaning note, I 100% agree! I clean when I’m upset, if I’m at home, and it always makes me feel better for some reason.
