3 Habits of productive bloggers

Blogging can be fun, but it is a lot of work! From creating content to knowing who you are, there are a few habits of productive bloggers that are easy to put into your blogging routine right now!

habits bloggers

1. Know your industry

When it comes to blogging, knowing what you’re talking about is basically step one. If you’re a beauty blogger, then you should know quite a bit about beauty. Let’s say that you like to write about the newest trends in fashion, you should probably pay attention to the fashion industry. If you’re really into travel, then you need to know a certain level of information about that. Something that can totally turn me off of a blog is feeling like the blogger doesn’t really know what they are talking about. I’ve mentioned how important providing value to your reader is 1000 times by now, and I cannot stress that enough!

2.Know your audience

Before I dive into habits of productive bloggers, let me stress how important it is to write what you enjoy. If you’re only writing for others, then it comes across in your content. That being said, you should at least consider your audience. By knowing what they are reacting to, what they are reading, and what they aren’t, you can really narrow down your blog to attract readers that LOVE everything you put out. You can also do this through social media by taking the time to actually connect with others, and it can have a great impact on your engagement as well! Instagram is one of my favorite places to connect with my readers right now!

3. Just be yourself!

One of the most important habit of productive bloggers. If you’re too busy trying to be someone else, then how are you ever going to get anything done, seriously? I hate to be cheesy, but no one else is you, and that is what makes you different. Show your personality through your writing style, photos, or your unique niche that you have selected to write in. One thing that my favorite bloggers have in common is that you can tell exactly who they are based on the content they put out. If you’re seriously struggling in the blogging world, then you might want to take a look at how authentic and true to yourself you are being!

To answer your question at the end, my habits are posting boatloads of content, using Pinterest every day to drive traffic, and learning everything and anything that I can about blogging and immediately implementing that knowledge. This is especially important since I’m 11 months in and I have still yet to see any consistent traffic to my site and knowing this reality, I am constantly looking for ways to connect with bloggers like yourself to provide value each and every day. I’d love the opportunity to connect with you and help each other. PS: I found you on bloglovin.com

Growth definitely takes time! It is all about remaining consistent, and really finding who you are speaking to, that made all of the difference for me!
